Georgia's traffic control system
Georgia's traffic control system actively uses both video and photo enforcement, as well as police patrols. If you violate traffic regulations, the police may stop you to check your documents. It's important to follow the rules and not offer bribes, as this could lead to serious consequences.
Traffic Violations and Fines
Violating traffic regulations can result in a fine. Fines are issued on the spot by police officers or captured by cameras. Drivers have 30 days to pay the fine and 10 days to appeal. Unpaid fines increase over time.
If you're unsure about any outstanding fines or suspect there might be one, you can check online through official Georgian police websites here or here.
Alternatively, you can ask us to assist in checking for any fines during your trip.
